Daily v81A
Our Father…
Good morning Heavenly Father, my Savior Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
Dear Heavenly Father, in Your Word in Matthew 22:37, Jesus said, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and the first commandment. 39 The second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
Dear Heavenly Father, today and every day please help me understand these two commandments more and more until I can truly proclaim that I Love You with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind, and I also love my neighbors as myself.
Heavenly Father, please also help me understand Psalm 23, “The Lord my God is my Shepard, and I shall never lack any good thing.
Heavenly Father, help me live my life by Jesus’ words, including Matthew 6:25,
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? 27 Can any of you by worrying add a single moment to your life-span?[a] 28 Why are you anxious about clothes? Learn from the way the wild flowers grow. They do not work or spin. 29 But I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was clothed like one of them. 30 [b]If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry and say, ‘What are we to eat?’ or ‘What are we to drink?’ or ‘What are we to wear?’ 32 All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom [of God] and his righteousness,[c] and all these things will be given you besides. 34 Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself. Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”
Heavenly Father, help me always walk walk by faith and not by sight or feelings. I know You love me more than I can comprehend, and I declare Your are my Shepard, my Fortress, and in whom I have complete Trust.
Dedication of the Day
Dear Heavenly Father, I dedicate this new day to you;
as I go about my work, I ask you to bless those with whom I come in contact.
Lord, I pray for all men and women who work to earn their living;
give them satisfaction in what they do.
Spirit of God, comfort the unemployed and their families;
they are your children and my brothers and sisters.
I ask you to help them find work soon.
Amen. (By St. Ignatius Loyola)
Act of Contrition
(Traditional version:)
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee,
and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments,
but most of all because they offend Thee, my God,
who art all good and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more
and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen.
Prayer for Forgiveness
Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name I ask for forgiveness for all my sins.
I know You desire to forgive every sin in my life, and to restore me completely to a life of perfect friendship with You. I wholeheartedly accept Your gift of forgiveness in my life, and I freely choose to offer this same mercy and forgiveness to everyone.
Heavenly Father, I ask in Jesus’ name that any prayer I’ve ever prayed, or word I ever spoken, that was not of your will, that was not of blessing or life, that they be canceled and forgotten.
Psalm 86
Incline your ear, Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and oppressed.
Preserve my life, for I am devoted; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God;
be gracious to me, Lord; to you I call all the day.
Gladden the soul of your servant; to you, Lord, I lift up my soul.
Lord, you are good and forgiving, most merciful to all who call on you.
Lord, hear my prayer; listen to my cry for help.
On the day of my distress I call to you, for you will answer me.
Jesus Saved Us
Isaiah 53:4-5
4 Yet it was our pain that he bore, our sufferings he endured.
We thought of him as stricken, struck down by God[a] and afflicted,
5 But he was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity.
He bore the punishment that makes us whole,
by his wounds we were healed.
1 Peter 2:24-25
24 He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you had gone astray like sheep, but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.
Walk In Love – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,
5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
6 it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8a Love never fails
Prayers for a Clean Heart and Protection
Psalm 51:12
12 A clean heart create for me, God; renew within me a steadfast spirit.
13 Do not drive me from before your face, nor take from me your holy spirit.
14 Restore to me the gladness of your salvation; uphold me with a willing spirit.
15 I will teach the wicked your ways, that sinners may return to you.
16 Rescue me from violent bloodshed, God, my saving God,
and my tongue will sing joyfully of your justice.
17 Lord, you will open my lips; and my mouth will proclaim your praise.
18 For you do not desire sacrifice[a] or I would give it; a burnt offering you would not accept.
19 My sacrifice, O God, is a contrite spirit; a contrite, humbled heart, O God, you will not scorn.
Psalm 37
1 Do not fume because of evildoers or envy those who do wrong.
2 They will wither quickly like the grass and fade away like the green herb.[b]
3 Put your trust in the Lord and do good, that you may dwell in the land[c] and be secure.
4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will grant you what your heart[d] desires.
5 Commit your way to the Lord; place your trust in him, and he will act.
6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, and the justice of your cause, like the noonday.[e]
7 Wait quietly for the Lord and be patient until he comes.
Do not fret over the man who prospers because of his evil schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn away from wrath; do not fret—it does nothing but harm.
9 For evildoers will be destroyed, but those who wait for the Lord will inherit the land.[f]
10 In a short while, the wicked will be no more; no matter how diligently you search, you will not be able to find him.
11 But the meek[g] will possess the land and enjoy an abundance of peace.
Trust in God’s Goodness
Psalm 27:13
13 I believe I shall see the Lord’s goodness
in the land of the living.[a]
14 Wait for the Lord, take courage;
be stouthearted, wait for the Lord!
Proverbs 3: 5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
on your own intelligence do not rely;
6 In all your ways be mindful of him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 10: 2
2 Treasures obtained by wicked means profit nothing,
but a righteous life brings delivery from death.
3 The Lord will not allow the righteous to go hungry,
but he foils the craving of the wicked.
22 The blessing of the Lord is what brings wealth,
and our toil adds nothing to it.
Prayer for Resources
Dear Heavenly Father, teach me daily to TAP INTO Heaven’s RESOURCES by FAITH as You are my Provider, and You have PROMISED to SUPPLY all my needs.
I pray with faith that Your Provision will wash away all LACK and FINANCIAL CHALLENGES in my life.
Dear Heavenly Father, today I pray
– for more Students to buy and take my courses
– for more Vendor engagements and sponsorships
– And for financial abundance so I can live and work for you freely
Psalm 34:9
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the stalwart one who takes refuge in him.
Fear the Lord, you his holy ones; nothing is lacking to those who fear him.
The rich grow poor and go hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing
Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.
Mark 4:26
He said, “This is how it is with the kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land
and would sleep and rise night and day and the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how.
Of its own accord the land yields fruit, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
And when the grain is ripe, he wields the sickle at once, for the harvest has come.”
Mark 9:22B
22B If it is possible for you to do anything, have pity on us and help us.” 23 Jesus answered, “If it is possible! All things are possible for one who has faith.”
Mark 11:20
20 Early in the morning, as they were walking along, they saw the fig tree withered to its roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 Jesus said to them in reply, “Have faith in God. 23 Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours. 25 When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your transgressions.”
Matthew 7:7
7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread,[a] 10 or a snake when he asks for a fish? 11 If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.
Luke 18:1
1 [a]Then he told them a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary. He said, 2 “There was a judge in a certain town who neither feared God nor respected any human being. 3 And a widow in that town used to come to him and say, ‘Render a just decision for me against my adversary.’ 4 For a long time the judge was unwilling, but eventually he thought, ‘While it is true that I neither fear God nor respect any human being, 5 [b]because this widow keeps bothering me I shall deliver a just decision for her lest she finally come and strike me.’” 6 The Lord said, “Pay attention to what the dishonest judge says. 7 Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? 8 I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”
John 14:13
And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it
James 5:7
Be patient, brothers and sisters, until the coming of the Lord.
See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth,
being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.
You too must be patient. Make your hearts firm,
because the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Do not complain, brothers and sisters, about one another,
that you may not be judged.
Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates.
1 John 5:14
And we have this confidence in him,
that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask,
we know that what we have asked him for is ours.
